ike Sam my passion for fitness started when I was playing rugby and had lots of exposure to top strength and conditioning coaches. When I found out I wasn’t going to be good enough at rugby I entered the world of fitness as a personal trainer around 8 years ago with the hope of working in professional sports.
Around 4 years ago I found CrossFit by chance. It started off coaching a few “metcons”, within a few weeks I had my CrossFit L1 booked, I loved coaching groups and I was hooked. Since then I have gone on to do my CrossFit L2 as well as my British weightlifting Level 1 and 2.
Outside of the gym you can catch me in a coffee shop, playing some 7s or behind some decks as I love to play music.

With a decade of experience in the fitness industry, my journey began in Devon and led me to Bristol in 2004, where I immersed myself in building surveying at UWE. During my university years, I represented England Students in rugby and rugby 7s for Great Britain. The significance of fitness, especially in strength and conditioning, has consistently shaped my lifestyle.
In 2016, I embarked on the venture of establishing our fitness site in BS3. Building on this success, we launched our second site in BS8 in 2023.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I find joy in spending quality time with my young family. Whether it's taking my dog Rufus for walks or maintaining a commitment to my own well-being, staying fit and healthy.

My name is Matt, I’ve been working in the fitness industry as coach for the last 10 years. Before that I studied music at university. I love heavy metal and country music. I am also a huge sports fan, in particular American sports. I visit as often as I can to watch my beloved Boston teams play.
Qualifications:
Level 1 CrossFit
Level 2 Olympic weightlifting
Level 4 strength and conditioning
